Interstate Rivalry Series v Prowlers Recap

The Rockers (4-2-1) continue the Interstate Rivalry Series against the Port Huron Prowlers this Saturday at Big Boy Arena for their Military Appreciation Night. The Rockers lead the series 3-2 after a two game sweep versus the Prowlers last weekend.


The Rockers had their first official home game win against the Prowlers on Friday. The Rockers won 6-2, dominating the Prowlers the entire game. After victory Friday night, the Rockers headed out to Port Huron to face the Prowlers at McMorran Arena. Motor City was able to capture another win 4-2. The Rockers held the lead the entire game starting the first period, with goals from Derek Makimaa and Ross Bartlett. After an aggressive second period, Roman Gaudet was able to put one away for the Rockers giving them a two goal advantage. Josh Colten was able to finish it off towards the end of the third, with the Rockers finishing with the win.


Previously, the Rockers had a three game series against the Prowlers and had lost the first two games, 2-3 and 3-7. The Rockers were able to come back for the last game of the series, winning 2-1. On a three game winning streak, the Rockers face off against the Prowlers for the sixth time this season this Saturday(11/5) and are number one in the FPHL Continental Division.
