Motor City Adds to Coaching Staff

The Motor City Rockers have added Chris Haltinner as an assistant coach.

Haltinner comes to the Rockers after spending 18 seasons with the University of Michigan-Dearborn program.

Starting as an assistant and goaltenders coach, Haltinner served five seasons in the role before being named the head coach in 2013.

As the head coach for UM-Dearborn, Haltinner lead the Wolverines to three WHAC tournament championships, including a ACHA Frozen Four in 2019. During that season, Hatlinner and UM-Dearborn ranked as highly as second in the country.

For his efforts, Haltinner was named ACHA Division I National Coach of the Year.
Haltinner is no stranger to the FPHL either.

During the 2016-17 season, Haltinner served as the assistant and goaltending coach for the St Clair Shores Fighting Saints.

Haltinner will join Todd Watson on the bench during the 2026-27 campaign.

Motor City drops the puck for their home opener on Saturday, Oct. 24 when Port Huron comes to the Yack.
