Rockers Ink Goaltender Bryn Sommerfeldt

The Motor City Rockers have signed goaltender Bryn Sommerfeldt.

Sommerfeldt, a 24-year-old, played ACHA collegiate hockey at Michigan State for three seasons before turning to the pro ranks.

Out of college, Sommerfeldt spent time as a rookie with the Rockers during the 2024-25 season. Sommerfeldt played in parts of eight games and recorded a 2-3-0 record.

Last season, Sommerfeldt spent time with two different FPHL teams.

Sommerfeldt played for both the Indiana Sentinels and the Topeka Scarecrows in the 2025-26 season.

A Farmington Hills native, Sommerfeldt adds another Michigan native to the Rockers roster.

Sommerfeldt and Motor City bring pro hockey to Downriver and the Yack arena when the puck drops in mid October.
